Guest Professorship "Gender in Manuscript Cultures"

The guest professorship is awarded every semester to a female written artefact scholar or to a scholar whose work centres gender or other dimensions of diversity as a research lens. The programme aims to provide opportunities for the collaborative, cross-institutional development of gender- or diversity-focused research agendas, as well as mentoring and networking opportunities, particularly for younger scholars. Awardees can spend up to six months at the Cluster of Excellence “Understanding Written Artefacts”, to whose scholarly life they contribute through talks and other activities of their choice.
