Qualification Fund

University of Hamburg has €10,000 available annually to support the training and further education of women. Together with other institutions at Universität Hamburg, the Equal Opportunity Unit is developing services for students and academics.

Each semester, the Career and Qualification Center offers a comprehensive workshop program that is aimed primarily at female students and doctoral candidates at Universität Hamburg and female graduates who have completed their degree within the last 2 years.  HR Development activities include organizing the " Career & Parenthood – Managing the mental load " workshop, using funds from the Qualification Fund in cooperation with the Family Office, every year since 2021. See the HR Development’s current program.

The Hamburg Research Academy (HRA) caters to all doctoral and early career researchers at Hamburg’s higher education institutions. Using the Qualification Fund, it offers workshops on various topics (e.g., appointments) in order to support women in developing their careers. See the HRA’s current program.
