Gendered Innovations: Unlocking Opportunities and Driving Excellence in STEM and Medicine – check your research profile

We are delighted to invite postdocs and doctoral researchers from Hamburg universities to a talk and workshop with the internationally renowned Stanford Professor Londa Schiebinger, 
John L. Hinds Professor of History of Science, Stanford University and Director of the Gendered Innovations in Science, Health & Medicine, Environment and Engineering Project.

Londa Schiebinger will explore how integrating gender analysis into research and innovation can uncover new opportunities and drive excellence in science and technology. The talk will provide an insight into international research, with a specific focus on STEM disciplines and medicine, in which questions of gender have provided a decisive gain in knowledge.

The event also explicitly addresses postdocs and doctoral candidates who have not yet carried out research in these areas, but who are interested in dealing with and exploring these issues in light of the requirements of third-party funding providers. 

The 360° Gender in Research project invites postdocs and doctoral researchers from all Hamburg universities to this project kick-off. With this event, we are providing an initial impetus to debate the relevance of gender dimensions in research and to identify potential opportunities for a broader integration of gender aspects in research at Hamburg's universities.

The talk will be followed by a moderated discussion. We look forward to numerous participants, discussions, ideas and conversations with you.
