University of Campinas
The Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) is a publicly funded university in São Paulo in southeastern Brazil. The university’s main campus is located in the million-strong city of Campinas, roughly 100 km from the city of São Paulo. UNICAMP, which was founded in 1966, regularly receives top rankings among Brazilian and Latin American universities. It has over 20 faculties, 40,000 enrolled students, and 2,000 professors who teach and conduct research. UNICAMP and Universität Hamburg have enjoyed a strategic partnership since 2018. This partnership encompasses student and academic staff exchanges as well as joint research projects, among other things.
Universität Hamburg supports the cooperation with UNICAMP with various funding programs.
