National Taiwan University

The National Taiwan University (NTU), which dates back to 1895, is a state university in the Taiwanese city of Taipei.

There are approximately 4,100 academic staff and 32,500 students within the eleven faculties. As the most prestigious university in Taiwan, the university maintains lively student and research exchanges with Universität Hamburg.

In collaboration with the Asien-Afrika-Institut at Universität Hamburg, summer schools to promote students’ skills in the respective languages have been held in Taipei and Hamburg every year since 2001. The cooperation involves all faculties at Universität Hamburg.
