Semester contribution

The semester contribution consists of the "actual" contribution of €282 (in accordance with the 'Beitragsordnung der Studierendenschaft der Universität Hamburg' in its current version). It is composed of the following components:

• €15.00 in accordance with constitutional student body regulations
• €176.40 for the semester public transport pass
• €5.60 for the semester public transport pass hardship fund
• €85.00 for the Studierendenwerk (in accordance with the Beitragsordnung des Studierendenwerks Hamburg)

and an administrative fee of €50.

A total of €332 is therefore required for re-enrollment or enrollment for the summer semester 2024.

The semester contribution consists of the "actual" contribution of €290 (in accordance with the 'Beitragsordnung der Studierendenschaft der Universität Hamburg' in its current version). It is composed of the following components:

• €15.00 in accordance with constitutional student body regulations
• €184.80 for the semester public transport pass
• €5.20 for the semester public transport pass hardship fund
• €85.00 for the Studierendenwerk (in accordance with the Beitragsordnung des Studierendenwerks Hamburg)

and an administrative fee of €50.

A total of €340 is therefore required for re-enrollment or enrollment for the winter semester 2023/24.

The semester contribution consists of the "actual" contribution of €289.90 (in accordance with the 'Beitragsordnung der Studierendenschaft der Universität Hamburg' in its current version). It is composed of the following components:

• €13.30 in accordance with constitutional student body regulations
• €184.80 for the semester public transport pass
• €6.80 for the semester public transport pass hardship fund
• €85 for the Studierendenwerk (in accordance with the Beitragsordnung des Studierendenwerks Hamburg)

and an administrative fee of €50.

If you are a new student enrolling at Universität Hamburg, please pay the contribution as soon as you have received your preliminary semester documents.

If you are re-enrolling for the upcoming semester, please pay your contribution in advance as follows:

• For a summer semester: by 1 April at the latest
• For a winter semester: by 1 October at the latest

In order to receive both your semester certificates and your semester transport pass by the start of the semester, your contribution must be paid in full at least 4 weeks before the above-mentioned deadline.

Please note:

Failure to observe re-enrollment deadlines will result in forced withdrawal from the university.
If students do not wish to withdraw from their program but have missed the re-enrollment deadline, they can undertake a late enrollment. Please note that late enrollments incur a late fee.

If your address has changed or if you want to take academic leave, please notify us at least 14 days before payment is due so that we can process your documents properly.

These deadlines do not apply to students enrolling for the first time!
