Semester contribution

The semester contribution forms part of Universität Hamburg's financing scheme for AStA (student council) and Studierendenwerk (student services). The semester contribution is due at the beginning of each semester. Further information here.

Tuition fees

In accordance with Hamburg's Student Financial Assistance Act (Hamburg Government Gazette, HmbGVBl. no. 32 p. 376), Universität Hamburg also implemented tuition fees in 2007.

As of winter semester 2012/13, the University abolished these tuition fees. However, semester contribution payments are still mandatory. For details, please go here.

How to finance your studies
