Multi-stage evaluations and certification procedures
All degree programs undergo a multi-stage evaluation process every 8 years . This process takes place in various phases.
Internal evaluation
Aside from organizing the annual quality conferences, the quality circles are also responsible for our internal evaluation system. They produce a self-evaluation, which also provides a basis for the subsequent external evaluation.
External evaluation
Internal evaluation is followed by external evaluation, which supplements the internal view of the degree programs with an outside perspective from external evaluators. Based on the self-evaluation and talks during a one-day, on-site inspection, the evaluators have the opportunity to get an impression of the degree programs and underlying conditions. On this basis, they then produce an expert report.
Certification
The certification commissions make decisions about the accreditation of degree programs. They consult the reports produced by external evaluators and the accompanying written opinions.
The certification commissions comprise university teachers, research associates, and students.
