Who is entitled to a separation allowance?
The University president or his or her authorized agent must approve separation allowances in writing.
Separation allowance is an option, for example, where a beneficiary who is willing to move is prevented from relocating immediately due to a lack of housing and thus incurs additional costs for double housekeeping, maintaining the apartment at the previous place of employment, or storing part of their home furnishings.
