Workshops
In addition to study preparation and study support, participants in the program can participate in an additional workshop offer.
Workshops are offered in the following three areas:
Female* Group Meeting
Are you a participant of our program (addressed are women, inter-, non-binary and trans people)? Are there things you would like to discuss in this context? Are you looking for contacts and ideas for new leisure activities? Are you interested in offers to network at Universität Hamburg? Would you like to have the opportunity to speak German aside from your language courses? Then take a look at our women's meetings!
The aim of the women's meeting is to provide a protected space for networking and exchange. The format is intended to offer an opportunity to discuss topics confidentially, to make contacts and to support the achievement of personal goals. The meetings take place regularly and are each carried out by two student employees from our team with the support of external speakers from different areas.
Learning Strategies
Are you already studying and having difficulty concentrating or preparing for your exams? Are you preparing for your studies and would like to develop your own strategies against stress and overcome learning difficulties?
In order to train you in your learning techniques and to present possible problem-solving strategies, our trained psychologist offers workshops on the following topics:
- Self management
- Stress management
- Learning strategies
Softskills
Are you about to graduate or are you looking for a student part-time job? Would you like to strengthen your skills with regards to the preparation of application documents? Do you have any questions about starting your career and the application process?
The aim of the soft skills workshop is to support you in the preparation of your application documents as well as in job interviews. Application-relevant information and skills are taught, with which you can apply for study-related internships or scholarships and for later entry into the labor market.
The workshop will be on the following topics:
- Use of MS office
- Job interviews (preparation, avoiding common mistakes, focus on your skills)
- Time management
In interactive simulation exercises and in exchange with external guests (refugees who have successfully completed their studies), you can report on your own experiences and further develop your personal skills.
