Change of Perspective - Exploring Work Environments
Welcome to "Change of Perspective: Exploring Work Environments" at the University of Hamburg!
This program is designed for all employees of our university who would like to gain new perspectives and engage in exchange with colleagues. As part of our program, you have the opportunity to become acquainted with the work environment of a colleague from a different department for one to three days.
The aim of our program is to promote internal exchange and deepen the understanding of the diverse tasks and processes at the university.
Who can participate?
The program is open to all individuals with an employment contract at the University of Hamburg, as well as enrolled doctoral candidates.
Here’s what you can gain:

- Get to know your colleagues

- Optimize your own work processes
Program Process
- Registration: You can register as a guest or as a host using the provided forms.
- Assignment: We coordinate your registration and provide necessary contact details. If you are already in close exchange with a colleague, feel free to register as a tandem with them.
- Preparation for the visit: After the assignment, you independently contact your host to clarify the details of your visit.
- Experience a change of perspective: Visit your colleague for one to three days, ask questions, and observe their workflows. During your visit, you accompany your colleague without taking on any tasks. Your focus is only to observe—ideal for a valuable change of perspective. This experience enables you to not only understand specific work processes better but also to see how different teams within the university collaborate.
