German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers a variety of funding programs that provide students, doctoral researchers, postdoctoral early career researchers, and university teachers with the opportunity to acquire research experience abroad, among other things. The programs are open to applicants from all academic and artistic disciplines and all countries.
Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience (PRIME)
The Section Support for Doctoral and Early Career Researchers is the contact for applications for the DAAD program PRIME. This program is geared to early career researchers in their postdoctoral phase. It finances a 12-month stay abroad followed by a 6-month reintegration phase at a German higher education institution. The postdoctoral researchers are employed as research associates at the respective institutions for the entire duration of the funding.
