Advanced Fellowships

Every year, Universität Hamburg—University of Excellence finances fellowships for excellent visiting scholars and artists at the Hamburg Institute for Advanced Study. These guests can live and work in Hamburg for several months, exchanging with Hamburg researchers and building their networks while pursuing their own research.

German and international visiting scholars or artists can apply or be named.

Applications for the academic year 2026/27 can be submitted until March 31, 2025.
