As a University of Excellence, Universität Hamburg has goals in each of these 5 areas. These areas correspond to the performance areas stipulated by the German Science Council: research, teaching, research infrastructure, knowledge exchange, and internationalization. Within the 5 dimensions, the University of Excellence is realizing more than 20 individual measures.
