For certain master’s degree programs, applications without supporting documents are accepted. For these degree programs, selection is made on the basis of the information you provided online; documents are required only where previous courses of study are not clearly equivalent, and where you have previously graduated abroad to establish equivalency. In this case, take particular care to ensure the information you provided in the online application procedure is correct.
This applies to the following degree programs:
- Human Movement and Sports Science (MA)
- Biology (MSc)
- British and American Cultures: Texts and Media (MA)
- English as a World Language (MA)
- Master of Arts in Media Studies (MA)
- Psychology with a Focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (MSC)
The online application contains a list of approved equivalent degrees from which you can select your degree. If you indicate that your degree is not on the list, you will be asked within the online application procedure to upload documents for a comparability check or to send them to a specific address. If you fail to submit any documents, your application will be rejected due to the lack of an equivalence check.
The selection criterion is usually the average grade of your first higher education degree or, if you are still in the final phase of your studies, your current average grade. Be aware that you must be able to provide proof of the average grade you enter in the online application for enrollment. This is particularly important if your grades can still change due to you being in the final phase of your studies. Thus, you should always be able to certify the grade you enter with a corresponding transcript of records, which can serve as proof in the event of admission.
