The Strategy Space illustrates the strategic core areas of the University and depicts their implementation in projects. The center of the Strategy Space is formed by the projects in the performance areas Research and Research Infrastructure, Studies and Teaching, and Knowledge Exchange, all of which are central to the University’s guiding principle “Innovating and Cooperating for a Sustainable Future in a Digital Age.” Each project is linked to central cross-sectional topics and is flanked by administrative support services under the heading Services and Support. Performance areas
The University of Hamburg plays a major role in the international scientific community and is a flagship in northern Germany. Excellence Meets Relevance: knowledge exchange at the University of Hamburg is a lively part of its research, teaching, and innovation activities. It thrives on diverse specialist cultures, creates supportive networks, and happens in various areas for which we have distinct sections: Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Careers and Qualifications; and Co-Creative and Public Engagement.
The third performance dimension at the University of Hamburg is the Triple E-Model of Knowledge Exchange. This refers to the triangle of expertise, engagement, and entrepreneurship that characterizes knowledge exchange activities at our University.
