Family-friendly higher education audit

Universität Hamburg sees itself as a family-friendly university. It aims to make the compatibility of academic study or career and family life an integral part of university culture. We believe family is a valuable resource, not a problem.

The family-friendly higher education audit is a means of systematizing and developing, in a goal-oriented fashion, existing regulations, activities and opportunities. It aims to create a reliable framework with room for individual solutions.

Audit successfully completed

This is why our University applied in the summer of 2010 to take part in the family-friendly higher education audit (fhg), which it completed successfully.

The "family-friendly higher education audit certificate" was awarded on 30 August 2010.

One result of the audit is the establishment of the Office of Family Affairs at Universität Hamburg.  The Office of Family Affairs can answer all questions about reconciling your studies or career and your family obligations.

The Equal Opportunity Office is responsible for implementing all family-friendly measures at Universität Hamburg.
