Individual Development Plan
The Individual Development Plan (IDP) is a tool to help you identify and prioritize goals during your doctoral phase. This will allow you to achieve milestones towards completing your doctoral dissertation and optimize your career planning.
Use the IDP to:
- review your skills, interests, and values;
- identify which skills you should develop further;
- set research and career goals and document your progress;
- boost your productivity by organizing your time more effectively.
Your IDP will depend on your academic discipline: different IDPs are available for the natural sciences, humanities, and the social sciences. Universität Hamburg currently offers an IDP for doctoral researchers of all discipline from the MIN Faculty. There are also international IDPs for other academic disciplines. See here for more information on all the options.
