University of Bucharest — Hamburg
Universität Hamburg and the University of Bucharest work closely together since 1975. Within the framework of the DAAD funding line "University partnerships with Eastern Europe", researchers and doctoral researchers of the partner universities and of Universität Hamburg can apply for funding at Universität Hamburg to expand existing contacts and establish new cooperations between the universities. The program aims to strengthen exisiting ties and to establish new collaboration between partners.

Researchers from the University of Bucharest who are interested in participating in an exchange should contact the International Office at their home institution. After a successful nomination by the International Office of the home institution you can apply through our online application portal immediately or, at the latest, 4 to 6 weeks before you plan to arrive in Hamburg.
Participants in the "University partnerships with Eastern Europe" program (DAAD-Ostpartnerschaften) will receive the following benefits:
- Travel subsidy for participants from Universität Hamburg
- The International Office helps guests find accommodation.
Detailed information regarding the settlement of finances will be made availble via the online application platform during the application process.
After the completion of the exchange, participants are required to hand in a report.
