University of Belgrade—Hamburg
Universität Hamburg and the University of Belgrade have been working closely since 1978. Within the framework of the DAAD funding line "University partnerships with Eastern Europe", researchers and doctoral researchers of the partner universities and of Universität Hamburg can apply for funding at Universität Hamburg to expand existing contacts and establish new cooperations between the universities. The program aims to strengthen exisiting ties and to establish new collaboration between partners.

Applications: 1 October–15 November (for an exchange in the first half of the year), 1 March–15 May (for an exchange in the second half of the year)
University of Belgrade researchers interested in applying for and participating in a research exchange should first contact Ms. Marina Kostrica( kostrm"AT"rect.bg.ac.rs) from the International Office at the University of Belgrade. After a successful nomination by the International Office of the home institution you can apply through our online application portal immediately or, at the latest, 4 to 6 weeks before you plan to arrive in Hamburg.
Participants in University partnerships with Eastern Europe program (DAAD-Ostpartnerschaften) receive the following benefits:
- Travel subsidy for Universität Hamburg researchers
- The potential receiving faculty helps guests find accommodation
Detailed information regarding the settlement of finances will be made available on the online application platform during the application process.
Research exchange participants are required to hand in a report following their exchange.
