Workshop on combining family and an academic career

How does one combine family life with an academic career? How do other mothers and fathers manage the balancing act between caring for a family and doing excellent research? How can I design my own model for combining the needs of my family and my research?

The Section for HR Development and the Family Office at Universität Hamburg are offering a workshop for doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers with children. The workshop focuses on resources and approaches to assist you in achieving this balance, complemented by useful information and some relaxation techniques. Participants in the workshop reflect upon the current state of their work-life balance and strategies, and develop their own model for combining the two. Carolin Steinat, coordinator of the Family Office, will provide more specific information on the type of support offered by Universität Hamburg. Due to the limited number of participants, registration is required.
