Career & Qualification Center
Career & Qualification Center of the University of Hamburg focuses on diversity. We help students and graduates of the University of Hamburg (up to two years subsequent to their degree completion) enter the job market.
Our seminars touch upon a host of cross-cutting issues, such as the transition to work, job application strategies, and work-life balance. Qualification Fund
The University of Hamburg has €10,000 available annually to support the training and further education of women. The comprehensive workshop program is designed for student of the University of Hamburg , doctoral students, and graduates who have completed their degree within the last two years. Family Office
The University's Family Office and provides useful contacts and advising services. We draw upon existing support services to help you balance your academic and familial obligations.
We offer advising by telephone every Tuesday, 10 am–11 pm and Thursday, 13 pm-14 pm . Individual advising by appointment only!

Academic offices
For questions about reorganizing your academic schedule or exams if you are pregnant or have a child, your first port of call is the academic office in your department.

If conflicts arise, the Family Office can offer to mediate.
Studierendenwerk Hamburg (student services)
The Family service at Studierendenwerk Hamburg advises and supports current and prospective students who are expecting a child or already raising a family. It offers information on finances, social benefits, childcare, and re-organizing studies (e.g., studying part-time, taking academic leave). More Information on their website.
BeSI's family services provide professional and loving childcare in five daycare centers. Flexible childcare services also allow parents to pursue their studies or other university-related activities outside normal working hours and on weekends.
