Individual Development Plan
The Individual Development Plan (IDP) is a tool to help you identify and prioritize goals. It will allow you to achieve milestones in your work and optimize your career planning. Use the IDP to:
- review your skills, interests, and values;
- identify which skills you should develop further;
- set research and career goals and document your progress;
- boost your productivity by organizing your time more effectively.
Your IDP will depend on your academic discipline and career phase: different IDPs are available for the natural sciences, humanities, and the social sciences. There are also international IDPs for other academic disciplines.
