Biology, mathematics, philosophy, economics, social sciences, and more—talks can be given in all subject areas. From 20 to 24 January 2025, researchers are offering over 100 talks, for example, on AI in schools, gender-sensitive language, gravitation waves, religion in computer games, climate policy, defending and maintaining democracy, and virology.
Wir wollen’s wissen targets secondary school students from the 9th grade and up. There are, however, a few talks suitable for 7th and 8th graders. These are marked accordingly in the program. Teachers can book talks until 14 January and see the complete program on the University’s homepage. After booking, teachers and speakers clarify topic details directly. Talks generally last 90 minutes, including Q&A and discussion. The talks are free.
This program is funded through the Excellence Strategy of the Federal and State Governments. Researchers from the University of Hamburg, DESY, and the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf participate.
