Networking, learning from one another, questioning conventions—it takes small steps off the beaten path to establish sustainability in a large institution like a university, but more and more universities around the world are ready to embark on the journey. The Center for a Sustainable University (KNU) brought together over 200 people from universities in 22 countries from 26–29 September for the Hamburg Sustainable Development Summit. Participants discussed the development of the university landscape in connection with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
