On 10 March 2020, the second management board meeting of the trilateral strategic partnership MQ-FU-HAM was held at Macquarie University in Sydney. The steering committee, which was established in 2019, approved 7 of the 9 projects submitted in response to the first joint call for applications for funding of bi- and trilateral projects. The selected projects will receive funding from all 3 partner universities to support their collaborative undertakings in 2020.
In accordance with the future-oriented goals of the MQ-FU-HAM network, the chosen projects will establish themselves outside the Strategic Partnerships and Thematic Networks funding line of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and therefore mark the transition from external funding to wholly university-supported management.
The MQ-FU-HAM trilateral network was founded in 2015 as part of DAAD’s Strategic Partnerships and Thematic Networks funding line. The network is currently in the second and final phase of funding (2019/20).
The next joint call for applications for project funding in 2021 is planned for the third quarter of 2020.
