Joint Programs
Joint Programs focuses on formalizing processes and establishing structured programs. We will follow up joint doctoral programs that have already been initiated. Based on close evaluation of the pilot project China in Europe, Europe in China. Past and Present, we develop framework agreements, formalize procedures, and offer a structured joint doctoral program between Fudan University and Universität Hamburg to students from all disciplines.
We will also continue to encourage the development of joint and double degrees at graduate level. Internationalization in Humanities is planning a Master’s of Research as part of the second funding phase. This would involve a flexible program enabling students to spend one semester in the respective master’s program at a partner institution. The participants can use this period to prepare a doctoral proposal. A coordinator at the receiving institution will help them become acquainted with the research landscape, including learning and research groups.
