Development of a systematic global network architecture for building up a proteoform atlas
Proteoforms are the future and next level of proteomics. For making the proteoform level accessible to a broad community an atlas is absolutely necessary. The generation of a Human Proteoform Atlas (HPfA) is an extremely huge task, which only can be performed by a well-coordinated international consortium of scientists from different disciplines.
A first meeting was performed at the Macquarie University in February 2020, but the planned follow-up meetings were cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the three groups from the Fudan-, Macquarie- and Universität Hamburg have been able to organize the 1st international meeting of the Human-Proteoform-Atlas Initiative, performed on 24th of October, on which important key players participated and future steps were decided towards building the HPfA.
