Doctoral Funding from the City of Hamburg

Section 43: Support for Young Researchers coordinates the doctoral scholarships from the State Graduate Funding Program that are awarded once a year.

Section 43 also coordinates the Aby Warburg Fellowships at the Warburg Institute in London. These particularly encourage research with a broad cultural studies approach.

Art historians have the opportunity to apply for a fellowship at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte in Munich. These fellowships support continuing academic education and completion of a research project, and include a short research stay at the institute in Munich.
