Putting a stop to procrastination
It’s sunny outside, I will work on the paper later on… But I really should get started… And I still need to work on my presentation. And finish that other paper. I'd better start with the laundry. I should have started a week ago… Why didn’t I start earlier? Why do I never start in time???
As the ToDos keep piling up, so does your stress level.
This workshop aims to help you understand and change your procrastination patterns. We will first explore methods of structuring your studying and look at how you could adopt them to your specific needs. In a self-organised phase, you will get the chance to apply the strategies. Over a course of five weeks, you will meet in your groups and support one another handling your postponed tasks and discussing problems that might come up. After reflecting on this phase, we will explore why you procrastinate. We will tackle what keeps us from getting started on our tasks on a behavioural, mental and emotional level. A variety of exercises makes this workshop an interactive one, where you don’t just understand a phenomenon on a theoretical level but comprehend it on a deeper level through experiencing it and always applying it to your specific situation.
This workshop will be held in English.
