E-Learning: Starting your PhD or Postdoc in Hamburg successfully

As part of the research communication project, the Hamburg Research Academy offers an e-learning course for an introduction to science communication. The course offers basic knowledge of how science communication works. It focuses on topics such as dimensions of science communication, the interplay of actors and target groups or dealing with media requests. The interactive learning units are modular and take around 8 hours in total. The content is varied and includes animations and videos. The e-learning can be accessed online at any time between April and the end of September 2025, so that you can flexibly integrate the course into your everyday life.
The course content was created by the National Institute for Science Communication (NaWik). The course takes place via the online platform "WissKomm-Campus", accessible with all common browsers. No other software is required. We assure you of compliance with all fair data use regulations and the protection of your personal data. On 1 April, there will be a – voluntary – short virtual kick-off session in case you have any questions about the platform or the Research Communication Certificate.
