The website presents consolidated and edited data from numerous sources. This makes it possible to search for individual researchers, research topics, research focus areas, and publications. You can also search for prizes and awards, research equipment, and submitted patent applications. A world map provides a clear view of the University’s many cooperation projects.
“The portal makes the manifold research achievements of Universität Hamburg’s researchers much more visible, thereby improving our image overall,” says Prof. Dr. Jan Louis, Universität Hamburg’s vice president for research, research funding, and digitalization.
“Following an overhaul, the website now offers a centralized and compact overview,” adds Dr. Stefan Thiemann, head of the Center for Sustainable Research Data Management at Universität Hamburg. “That makes it interesting not only for researchers at our university and other institutions seeking research and cooperation opportunities. For companies, for example, an overview of scientific publications or patents registered at the University can also be very important.”
The portal also facilitates the search for concrete data, such as test or survey assessments, some of which are freely accessible. The currency and completeness of data depends on the data category in the portal. Data can go back to roughly 2019. In the future, older data will be supplemented and new data will be added regularly. The website does not contain the research of the Faculty of Medicine at Universität Hamburg; for this, see the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf’s own research portal.
The research portal for the rest of the University is accessible here: www.fis.uni-hamburg.de
