This year’s Hamburg International Summer School begins on 11 July at Universität Hamburg. After a corona-induced suspension in 2020, and the digital summer school of last year, the Hamburg International Summer School can once again take place on-site. Registrations are open until 30 June 2022.
Students from all over the world have been coming together to take part in the summer schools at Universität Hamburg since 2017. In 2019 for example, students came from Canada, South Korea, Taiwan, and Brazil. A total of 70 students took part in the virtual summer school last year.
This summer, there are 3 courses on offer:
- Health Economics: 11 July–29 July (in-person attendance)
- Particles, Strings & Cosmology: 11 July–05 August (in-person attendance)
- Language Diversity: 11 July–05 August (online only)
All 3 Hamburg International Summer Schools start on 11 July with a joint welcome event. Participants may also take part in additional German courses. A cultural program is also planned in addition to the in-person classes, including activities in Hamburg, and day trips to Berlin and Lübeck. Students will earn ECTS credits for both the specialist and language courses, and during the cultural program. In-person and digital summer school allow students from across the world to participate.
