Postdoc at Fudan University – Guest Lecturer at Universität Hamburg

By taking part in an international seminar in my home university, I got to know the professors from the University of Hamburg with whom I shared similar research interests. Then, I got the opportunity to work in Hamburg as a visiting scholar sponsored by DAAD. At that time, my younger daughter was a new-born baby, so I decided to take the whole family with me in order to look after her.

Stepping on the splendid land with my family, I have been attracted by the fresh air and clean environment. During my stay, due to the abundant literatures I found, my research work made great progress. Working in the Department of History, I benefit a lot from the sparkling ideas of my cooperative Professor Kundrus and other researchers, which have played an everlasting important role on my academic career. I also find cooperation with professors and researchers from other departments and the cooperation is going to continue after my return to China. All in all, my family and I experience quite a new and special life in Germany that we will never forget.
