Placement for DaF intensive classes

NEW: The placement test for DaF intensive classes is now on the Friday before the classes begin (not on the first day as in previous semesters)...

If you would like to take one of our intensive classes for German but have not yet taken a placement test with us or have not shown us your official language certificate yet, please be aware that you have to take one of the following placement tests:

September 15, 11-12 AM in lecture room A, Von-Melle-Park 5 (for intensive classes from 18.-22.09.)

September 22, 11-12 AM in lecture room A, Von-Melle-Park 5 (for intensive classes from 25.-29.09.)

You will receive the results on the day of the test or by the latest one day after.

Or, if you have an official certificate, you don’t have to take a test. Please send us your certificate ahead of time to sz@uni-hamburg.de

If you are an exchange student and don’t arrive in Hamburg early enough to take the test, please contact Dr. Nils Bernstein (nils.bernstein@uni-hamburg.de) for an alternative online testing.

Naturally, if you have taken a placement test with us in a previous semester or have sent us your official language certificate, you don’t have to take another placement test. In this case, please just come for the first lesson of the class you have registered for.
