How do we find European responses to global challenges, particularly in security policy, and how do we implement them? These questions also apply to the current science policy debate on research security and the contribution of research to European security in times of geopolitical crises: Which direction should Europe follow on this?
On 11 and 12 September 2023, representatives of the largest German and British research universities congregated in Hamburg. They visited the hosting Universität Hamburg together and celebrated Great Britain’s association with the Horizon Europe research program.
