Good to know
Within courses, there are various member. You can view and manage the distribution of these in the member management section (see also HelpCard 20-020).
In addition to group supervisors and group participants, there are also supervisors and participants at the course level.
The term "members" encompasses all individuals and their.
Here's how to proceed
➊ Click on "Member Management" at the top under Administration in your course.
- The member management section will open.
- Using the menu (on the left), you can view and manage members, groups, bookings, and rights of the course.
➋ Select "Members" from the menu (on the left).
- A list of all members will be displayed.
- The or that a member holds within the course is shown in the Role column.
Member Roles
- (Course) Owner: Has all rights over the course and within the course (managing members, evaluating participants, editing the course structure, setting visibility and access rules, as well as copying, deactivating, and deleting the course).
- (Course) Supervisor: Has the ability to evaluate (course) participants.
- (Course) Participant: Can view all components and materials, as long as the course or its components are not restricted to a specific group.
- (Group) Supervisor: Can enroll, manage, and remove participants within a group. Group supervisors can evaluate the components associated with the group, as far as their evaluation is possible.
- (Group) Participant: Can view group-dependent components.
Assignment of the Different Roles
- The creator of the course is automatically the owner. Additional owners and supervisors can be manually entered in the member management section using the "Add Member" button or by importing members (see HelpCard 20-020). Participants can be enrolled in the course via a booking method or entered manually.
- To enroll members in groups, a group must first be created. The person who created the group is automatically the group supervisor. Additional group supervisors can also be added manually to the groups (see HelpCard 20-020). Group participants can either be added manually, or they can register themselves through the enrollment module in the course.
- If a member is to receive an additional or if the needs to be changed, the of the member can be edited by clicking on their name.
- For multiple identical changes, check the respective members' boxes next to their names and click the "Edit" button (at the bottom of the page). In the member list that opens, you can edit the selected members or their all at once.
- Using groups, course and component access can also be regulated.
