Support for Researchers at Risk
Universität Hamburg wants to assist researchers at risk in continuing their research career. As a founding member of the German chapter of Scholars at Risk, Universität Hamburg has a particular obligation to support researchers at risk and to promote academic freedom.

Studierendenwerk Hamburg (student services)
The Family service at Studierendenwerk Hamburg advises and supports current and prospective students who are expecting a child or already raising a family. It offers information on finances, social benefits, childcare, and re-organizing studies (e.g., studying part-time, taking academic leave). More Information on their website.
BeSI's family services provide professional and loving childcare in five daycare centers. Flexible childcare services also allow parents to pursue their studies or other university-related activities outside normal working hours and on weekends.
